Personality: Very intelligent yet strangely at the same time impulsive. Maxwell is also understanding, caring, compassionate, strict, and ruthless. Cherishes friendship and his allies. He always tries to make friends with those that aren't his enemies, but on rare occasions tries with them too. He always tries to preserve life, even that of the enemies unless their death is necessary. He always needs to voice his opinion. He can also be perverted at times and may be seen as unorthodox by those who don't know him well because he truly is a gentleman. History/backround Story: Maxwell grew up in the royal palace in the kingdom of light. He was always a pale and frail young boy who excelled in his studies. When it came time to teach the young bot light bending, hit parents were at first skeptical about it but eventually gave into Maxwell's constant begging. Light bending had always fascinated him with the things it could create and destroy.
Light had the life giving properties of water, yet at the same time the destructive powers of fire. Unfortunately his tutor wouldn't teach him much due to the requests of the king and queen. He finally got fed up and disguised himself to enroll into the army to see light bending at it's peak. After being shipped off, he had gotten much more than he bargained for.
Seeing the horrors of war, Maxwell dropped his disguise and returned home. He brought home with him several specialists in light bending to tutor him in their arts, not for fighting, but for defending. No one knew a thing about his adventures in the army, and that's the way he wanted it to stay.

The swordsman in front of him was putting on a bit of a theatrical show. To much pomp in his opinion. While he was talking, before it was even asked of him, Maxwell had already drawn out his cutlass in his right hand and his pistol on his left. It was obvious who this man was, it was also obvious that he was blind. If Maxwell didn't know any better, he would underestimate him...Something just said to stay on his toes.
Maxwell never intended to answer the swordsman's question and pointed his pistol right for the man's chest during his speech. As soon as he was about to pull the trigger, cannon balls hit the pier. It would be a perfect cover for his shot, but Maxwell decided to wait it out and see what the commotion was. As soon the smoke and debris cleared, it seemed that Arthur D. Shaw came with the wind. Landing beside him, Maxwell smirked and replied to him.
"Indeed, it has been a while...What is it, twelve years now? As for the trouble, it has yet to even start."
With the arrival of a second Admiral, Maxwell's breathing became deeper and heavier, his heart rate quickening, his adrenaline pumping. This was great...There was only one thing that could possibly make things better and as if the gods themselves heard the thought, mist came rolling in. The doctor was in...
Maxwell couldn't stand it anymore! Everything was perfect! Maxwell let out a loud and maniacal laughter for all to be heard. Maxwell pointed the tip of his cutlass straight at the blind swordsman with a devilish smile smeared across his face.
"You two dogs had best pray! You two need to show us your best or you'll regret it because we three will not show any mercy, for THAT is how we pirates fight! "
