Shiori slipped inside the palace by disguising herself as one of the guards. Her mission was to infiltrate the palace and watch the Light prince. The Dark Lord wanted to know if the prince would pose as a threat to the dark nation. Shiori was skeptical at first because she knew that the Dark and Light nations were on neutral ground ,but maybe the Dark Lord knew something that she didn't. She stood by the door of the throne room. The head guard ordered her and two others to guard the prince. Perfect, she thought. Now I can keep a close eye on the prince.

"What is it that you could gain by having me as your personal assistant? There must be something that you have planned because anyone could have that job." She looked at him. She stood up from the ledge and paced across the balcony. she kept her head down, but looked up every now and then to glance at the prince.

"What can I gain? I thought I already told you, I gain a companion. Someone to travel with, someone to interact with. My travels get lonely and I think it's time for something new. So while I'm basking in my boredom trying to find a solution, here you come rolling in." Maxwell took a small stride forward with his hands clasped together in from of him. "Honestly, you're looking far too much into this. What are you scared of?"

"You think I'm scared? I'm not. I just wouldn't feel comfortable associating myself with the person I was spying on." She stopped pacing and looked him straight in the eye. "Fine. I accept."

A sigh of relief came out of Maxwell's mouth and he crossed his chest with his hands. Looking back up, he was smiling. "I'm over joyed to hear this. Well, since you are now in service of the royal family you will have your own personal accommodations within this castle. You will have access to the royal kitchen and your own personal servants. However, bearing in mind that you are a spy, I will ask you who sent you here so that if anything happens from now on we will know who to go to."

"The Dark Lord.." She spoke softly for she was still unhappy with her decision. She walked back over to the chair she sat in before and sat down. She was no longer a part of the dark nation and she was sure that if she tried to return they would not welcome her.

"Good. Now we have collateral. Inform the guards outside what has happened and ask for a messenger. You can write you letter to your lord and that will be that."

OCC: Sorry it's short. Not in the mood.

"Yes. Of course." And with that Shiori walked to the door of the room and opened it. She told the guard what happened and told him to send for a messanger. She walked back into the room and sat at the table. The same guard came inside and walked towards her with a pen and paper. She took it from him and began writing her letter to the Dark Lord.

Maxwell put his hands on the guard rails on the balcony and stared into the sky, soaking up the sun. "Well...Today's been entertaining."
